What Will We Be Doing?
About Our Week at Heit’s Point

  • Serve
    • There will be opportunities for all ages to help serve while at Heit’s Point! Service projects may include clearing out wooded areas for camp expansion, picking up trash on the trails, painting or cleaning/small repair work in cabins and lodges, organizing craft supplies, construction of outdoor game structures (think gaga ball or 9-Square-in-the-Air), “caroling” through the streets of nearby Cole Camp, and more!
  • Play
    • Heit’s Point offers numerous opportunities for fun and fellowship. Possible activities include archery, swimming in an indoor pool and in our private inlet of the Lake, canoeing and kayaking, fishing, crafts, gym/outdoor field games, team-building challenge courses, and more! We will participate in some activities all together, some divided by age group, and some in mixed-age small groups throughout the week.
  • Worship and Learn
    • Each day will start with “First Word”, a brief time of personal reflection and reading the Bible. Every meal begins with a fun “camp prayer” to bless our food. On Wednesday morning, we will participate in traditional Divine Worship with the Lord’s Supper, led by a local pastor from Cole Camp. We’ll break into separate age groups for Bible study every afternoon, and close every evening together with campfire devotions & songs. We encourage cabin groups/families to close every night at bedtime by sharing a “Last Word” from Scripture before lights out.
